When is Grievance Day?
Grievance Day is the First Tuesday in June. Notification is published in the official Town newspaper, The Messenger, on or about May 1.
Informal hearings to discuss assessments are held during March & April, call 638-0839 to schedule an appointment.
What is the most recent selling price of a house?
This information may be found on Onondaga County’s website (www.ongov.net) and the Sunday edition of the Syracuse Post Standard.
What is annual reassessment?
Annual reassessment is a systematic annual review of assessments in the Town. A systematic review of each parcel does not mean that every assessment will change every year.
Do I have to apply or reapply for the STAR Exemption every year?
No, if you are under 65 years of age. For those turning 65 and for those over 65, they must renew each year.
What is required to reapply for the STAR Exemption?
A copy of latest income tax if one was filed or a social security benefit statement, interest statements and pension statements, if one was not filed along with the renewal.
